X2n 7string... How is it?
I have my hellraiser with the emgs which I really like but my UV has the blaze stuff, which is kinda low output, should the x2n do it? |

i much prefer the x2n(6 string model) to the blazes... tuned my Rhoads V to B once, just to hear how an x2n-7 might sound, before it was even announced, and i loved it so much. its so much more well balanced, and just sounds incredible. if you like the way your emg's sound you might like the x2n better... when i a/b'd a x2n guitar vs a emg 81/85 guitar, the 81 sounded similar to the x2n, but the x2n had more color, and a more natural tone... i'd imagine its about the same for the 7 string x2n, but i'll find out when i get mine i guess lol...

isn't the bill lawrence l-500 the one based on the dimebucker? i've played on a bill lawrence rail, but it was in the neck spot, the bridge spot on that guitar had a dimebucker, which looked EXACTLY the same... the dimebucker sounds alright, its very very similar to the x2n, the main difference i noticed was in pinch harmonics, they just sounded a little bit sweeter through the x2n than the dimebucker, otherwise the dimebucker was just as chunky on rhythm, just as ear splitting on lead... |
