Rico Jr Vixen 7 Custom

I'm thinking about a Custom Shop 7-string made by Bernie Rico Jr, once my debts clear up and I have some money to work with. Have any of you guys played one of these before? Any of you Jackson guys been to NAMM and seen any of those things in person?

I think I'm going for the 7-string "Vixen" model (pic below), real basic not many extra options, neck-thru, alder body, ebony fretboard w/ no inlays, a single DiMarzio bridge pickup (not sure which yet), solid color (thinking snow white or blood red), fixed bridge, etc. The quote I got was a very fair price given the quality and the turnaround time shouldnt be more than 4 months. The price quote I got...there's many production model Jackson and ESPs that sell for well above what Bernie was willing to sell it to me for.

I think mine would essentially look like this, only different as I stated above:

first time i saw the vixens was when i saw megadeth and exodus a couple years ago, gary holt played 2 of them, they were amazing looking. i've not personally played one, but from the pictures i've seen i don't like the neck heel 1 bit. heres a pic of it...

Yeah I've never really gotten why he did that...you can probably ask him to make it "normally" but I dunno. The outside curve also throws me for a loop.

WARNING:

4 months at BC Rich = 12 months for everyone else. Remember to multiply anything they say about time by three. My six month wait ened up being like 20 months. My guitar was worth every second of waiting, though. It showed up exactly how I wanted it, and I cannot say that about anything in life. Not even when I order pizza.

You won't regret the order, but don't be surprised if four months ends up stretching out a lot longer.

Well, I was told my order was very simple so it could take even shorter than 4 months. It's basically just a "standard" model, but with no floyd, 1 pickup, no inlays, etc. My options actually would seemingly take LESS time I'd think. We'll see

I haven't finalized this yet or anything, but I'm definitely thinking about it.

it took me 2 weeks from start to finish to build my neck through 7, with very similar setup to yours, and about 2-3 weeks for finish... plus another week for final sanding, buffing, and final assembly...
