Man, whoever uploaded that video is a really cool guy. I mean, to share their collection like that is really generous. That guy deserves a free Oni 8-string or something.

It was cool of him to bring out Beck for the tune at the end of the clip!

Donnie,,,That's one hell of an idea! How about Black with Neon Green "F" holes! I was also thinking Flat satin black with high gloss black "F" holes, that would be a not so "in your face" thing. I have a 7321 with the white pickups,,,,, white "F" holes might be sort of cool, then again so would white or Chrome flames.........

Either way, Paul rocks, I have never bought anything he did. I listened to some Racer X years ago, but couldn't handle the singer ( Jim Gillette I think ). I may have to go out and snag burning organ and spaceship 1 or whatever the hell it's called. I guess I have had this image of Paul being sort of "bubble gummy". But I have always enjoyed the vids and instructional stuff. I work with a guy who attended GIT with Paul and plays some gigs with him. He tells me that Paul is a top notch dude,,, a little eccentric but as real as they come.

I just realized that his 4th string looks bigger than the others surrounding it.

Like in that one picture we discussed on another one of the PG threads..

It probably sounds better, makes sense. I tried that tuning and a few other octave variations and found different string gauges would more than likely sound better balanced.

The lowest strings are all D, listen when he's explaining the tuning, he strikes each string.

I'm gonna get to do this on my friends 7321 in a few days... this should be some interesting tuning and string gauges.
