Unmarked Japan Made Ibanez 7

Why do some Japan made Ibanez not have RG7x21 marking on the back of the headstock??

Is this fake?

All the recent MIJ Ibanezes have no model number marking on the back of the headstock. Older MIJs (up to the early 90s, I think) had a sticker with the model number. All the recent MIK and MII Ibanezes do have the model number on the back of the headstock.

Pull the neck. it'll be where the body and neck meet. They only put the serial # on the back, and more recently "J CRAFT".

I have an offer for $300, is this a good deal? The guitar is new. Is this possible??? The neck doesn't have the darker strip piece of wood. Shouldn't all RG7 series have that dark strip?

The earlier ones didn't, IIRC.

from what I've seen on Ebay, if the guitar is a 7620 then $300 would be a fair price...do you have a pic of the guitar you are referring too?

Is that a 7621? I can never remember which PU routs are which...

The 762x have the triangular rout, the 742x have the square rout. It looks like a 7621, so $279.00 seems more than fair. I've got one, and I love it.
