Project guitar photo's large images

Wanted to share some photos of a few projects I've been working on.

I mentioned some time ago, that I acquired a Conklin GT7-T from work. I since have sort of become the "7 string rescue" guy. This one was a labor of love. It had some body damage, and was stripped of all electronics, and hardware, even the back cover for the electronics was missing. I finally finished her. The trem is well,,,not a lopro, but whatever had to fill the hole right?

Now this next project may cause a stir, and possibly some hate mail however it's mine so I will do what I want. This was turned into a rescue. This '99 RG7621BK was the dirtiest damn thing I've ever seen. Some of you may have seen it on Ebay. This was the 7 that had the "Korn" stickers on it. The auction ended with no bids. I did an evil thing and contacted the seller after the auction ended and offered 300 bucks. Anyway, it was beat up beyond what was shown in the auction. So I decided to do this..........

I have one more project hanging out there yet. I was going to put neon green flames on my 1527CB,,,, but decided to do the Chameleon illusion thing instead. That will be posted here when it's completed.

thats not an RG7621, its an RG7421... how many pieces of wood is its body made of? my RG7421 is made of 4... looks cool though, almost like it was relic'd, almost not...

You know I'm not sure what it is for real. When I had it apart. The neck pocket had 621 stamp, and the neck had 421 stamp. So I went with the body number. I think the pickups where the only real difference between the 2 other than possibly the tuners? It came with Gotoh tuners, but I put Charvels on it.

its got the pickup routes of a 7421... my 7421 has 7421 stamped in the neck pocket, and 7621 stamped on the neck... not uncommon... and yeah, i see the charvel tuners on it... why would you switch gotoh's for charvel tuners? thats one of the things i noticed when i first looked at the pics... gotoh tuners are great. and both 7421 and 7621's had gotohs... i've not stripped the paint off a 7621, but i'd be curious to find out if the body was made of only 2 or 3 pieces of wood instead of 4 lol

oh and its also got the 7421 saddles...

There only seemed to be one seam that went all the way across the body, so my guess would be it's just 2 peices. The gotoh tuners that were on it were beat to shit. Even more so the reason for the Charvel tuners was to piss off a Charvel purist I work with. I was hoping to get a rise out of him by doing such a thing...lol.

Yeah, so I don't know what to call this guitar, I almost get the feeling it was made from left overs. So either way 7621 or 7421 it plays awesome and sounds amazing, I will still replace the pickups with Blaze custom and maybe an Air norton for the neck. It appears that it was meant to be 7421 but it appears that they used a 7621 body. Eitherway I'm cool with it.

Nyck, yes the conklin plays awesome. I am guessing that it was a customer return. I would hazard a guess at saying owner realized shit,,, I can't play a 7,,, took it back with some dings and shit. It then got sent back to the Cort factory who then stripped it. Then I got it. It's a very cool guitar even though I hate the trem. Which is cool,,cuz I just won't use it.

Yeah right,,I see what you mean. It must just be the angle and flash,, the depth came out sort of screwy. The pickups are older and have the brass bass plate so they do look different, that along with pic angle and shit all add up to optical illusion.
