Quite possibly, ben. And skyclad, it also doesn't mean that bolt-on is worse.

The only dealbreaker, for me, is the 25" scale. A seven NEEDS to be 25.5 or longer, IMO, unless you're tuning it up and not down.

I actually prefer bolt-ons - they're alledgedly a little brighter and snappier, and while I have no idea if this is true, it's what I'm used to, I find them comfortable, and I certianly have no problems with notes not sustaining long enough...

I think, if anything, we can take from this conversation that no one guitar is right for EVERYONE. It doesn't work for me because the scale's way too short for what I feel a seven should be, and it doesn't work for you because it's not neck thru. Clearly, the scale doesn't bother you, and clearly, the bolt on neck doesn't phase me in the least - we happen to agree, but for two totally different reasons.

I think 25" might be interesting, although I've never been as fond of the overtones of that scale as the two most popular ones (25.5" and 24.75") - which is probably why I'm not much of a PRS fan.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.
