Which guitar should I sell?

Well, I currently have five 7-strings... unfortunately I know at least one of my guitars have to go, I'm having trouble deciding which one.

Basically, the S7420FM is one of the best playing and sounding ones I have, yet also isn't really worth a lot on the open market, so it's not even worth it. The 2027X is amazing and I think it's a keeper. Same with the JP7. That leaves the K7 and UV777BK. Despite the infamous inlay, the K7 easily sounds better and plays just as well as the UV - a unique sound. The UV777 of course plays like an utter dream, looks probably the coolest of all of them, has a great tone... but I find myself playing it the least for whatever reason. Also, I'm leaning towards with the Universe because of its enduring value on the open market. I think I could get more for it than any of my other guitars on eBay (or here...), with the possible exception of the JP7 which I like more (those pickups DiMarzio made for Petrucci are amazing).

I just feel like, perhaps the UV is the odd man out here, which feels wrong to even say. This is like "Sophie's Choice" here

EDIT: Argh, I'm sorry, damn duplicate thread.

Again, I reiterate. None. Keep 'em all. If sell one you MUST, hmm... I'd say K-7. If you like the PAF7's so much, buy some for the RG2027 (or swap), and you basically have it already, only with 5-way switching and a piezo. The UV is too unique and gorgeous to sell. My next choice would be the S, but there's no way I'd part with the 2027 or the JP7.

If your bank account is empty, why buy 5 high-end 7's you don't need? (Or if it will make your bank account empty)

Dude, I don't understand you. Seriously.

That's a hard decision to make right there. I say the K-7, the rest of them should definitely stay. K-7's are dime a dozen (if you have the dime ) and the rest aren't.

RIP MIKE

It wasn't supposed to be empty. I bought a Jackson from GuitarAsylum via PayPal. I returned it. They issued the refund. Then for some reason PayPal decided to put a "temporary hold" on it (by temporary they mean 3-5 days for no fucking reason). When they release the money from the refund I was issued last week, it will go in the positives.

I had planned on selling one even before that happened. I just don't need 5. I'd rather have another grand or so in my bank account than a guitar that's going to be mostly neglected anyways.

See, that's where you went wrong. You bought a Jackson.

Why buy the Jackson anyway? I'm being rhetorical here, dude. I won't understand anyway. I've had the same guitars for the last 6 years, and probably will have them the next 6 (or more).

I think you already know what you're going to do. Or so it seems, at least.

Well, I think I have a good idea... but I was looking to see what others had to say. You know, talk me out if it if need be. I bought the Jackson because I wanted the COW one, I wanted a 7 with an ebony board and I love the look/layout of those. But, they didnt have it in stock, and were going to order one for me. Then I saw Donnie's EB7 for sale and I'm like "hey thanks but no thanks guys".

Well, I definitely love all of these. I've never truly been satisfied with my guitars before, even when I had custom shops or other USA models. I was content when I had a couple USA Parkers... but the 6-string thing just wasn't cutting it anymore. Now I'm content, but I have too many.

You could send me your RG2027XVV, then you'd have fewer guitars to worry about playing.

I kinda know what you're saying Nick. Like, I'd really only want 3 or so real nice guitars. Probably, in a perfect world, 2 2027's for regular playing/gigging/etc., maybe a CST or a JP7 for collectibility/change-of-pace/whatever, then, a nice 5-string bass, a nice 7-string acoustic, and that's about it. I couldn't see having 5 top o' the line electric guitars, unless it was for collecting purposes only. (Which I could totally do, but that's a separate issue.)
