If you prefer Jacksons, that's fine, but over 50% of the people on this site own Ibanezes while less than 10% (probably less than 5%) of the people on this site own Jacksons (and many of the ones who do prefer their Ibanezes). While I have nothing against Jacksons, I don't think they are better than Ibanez. And like ZIMBLOTH LORD OF KRAGATHOR (I'm glad to hear that what I've always thought about your screenname was correct) said, "Says the man who doesn't have one yet." I personally voted K7, but I wouldn't get rid of any of them if I were you... |

I woulde vote the UV. It seems to be the guitar that shares the most characteristics with all the others, so, it would have most of its functions duplicated elsewhere. Also, they are saleable easily, and replaceable just as easily on the market, when the time comes. Still, its like parting with one of your children!

I'd say sell the UV. It's not like they are terribly unique or hard to come by, should you decide you want another one later down the road.
Besides, i think they're gaudy. ![]() |

I think before you sell anything you should cover your prior commitments.

I think what you should do is try to play only the UV for a week or so. If after that time you're still convinced it's your least favorite, sell it off. You shouldn't keep it only because it's a high-end guitar that everyone else raves about. In general I think you should only keep the guitars you bond with.

Dont sell any if you dont really have to, If you absolutely have to though, anything other than the 2027 because it is more rare than the others.
![]() I'd take the UV off your hands but no cash at the moment. ![]() |

Japanese Ibanez > Japanese Jackson but Japanese Ibanez < USA Jackson ...and Jackson doesn't make any production USA sevens. If I had to pick between a COW and an Ibanez, I'd take the Ibanez. They have more features and the nicer neck joint. If Jackson made a USA 7-string, the comparison would be the same as an EBMM JP7 versus an Ibanez. The only comparison I can make, though, is the custom shop Jackson 7 I stare at twice a week, and that really is no comparison at all (nor should it be, for the cost). Zimbloth, you have two mahogany and three basswood guitars, right? Get rid of one of the basswood ones. Since it sounds like you have one setup exactly the way you like it, and the other is the JP7, then you should get rid of the Universe. It will bring the most on the open market.

Good advice on all counts, Noodles. There's also the fact that used 777bks are always in demand, and they appeal to a much wider audience than most of the other gutiars here.
