Currently on the 7's the are all tuned to A standard (ADGCFAD), but I've had them in b standard, and am currently thinking about going up half a step to a more evil Bb tuning

sixes are either tuned to DGCFAD, EADGBE or lately I've been giving Drop-C tuning a bit of a whirl!

...despite actually hating drop tunings for years...

I've got my 7 in open d-minor tuning (?) with the 7:th string tuned to a G right now, but usually it's in standard tuning. My 6 is also in standard.

skyclad is a jewel in the rough
Standard 7-string russian tuning - D-G-B-D-G-B-D From low to high.

Or alternative 7-string russian tunings -
E-A-B-D-G-B-D
E-G-B-D-G-B-D
C-G-B-D-G-B-D

And on my quarter 7-string acoustic I use G-C-E-G-C-E-G One fourth higher, than standard D-G-B-D-G-B-D Russian 7-string tuning...

Vibrant and real I lie, mantled by the open sky,
The wind and waves my lullaby- I am the land.

All my tunings are down a half step. My seven tends to stay in that, as it has a floyd. My Jackson six currently has a dropped E string, and my six string baritone is currently in drop A flat. Other than that, I use tons of different open tunings, mainly variations on DADGAD or open G, especially on acoustic. For slide I like DADGAE down 1/2 step. I often like tuning the bass strings in fifths on my Les Paul, similar to the sort of tunings Ty Tabor used to use.

Nothing like a good depressant to chase the blues away!

ADGCFAD.

Fear Factory uses it and a band from Ohio, Switched, does as well.

7StringofAblicK-This is my footswitch. it changes channels on my amp - just like on a television, but I only have four channels.

I'm using Garry Goodman's .005 strings which he specially designed for his 12 string bass.

I keep my axes in standard or Drop D/Drop A. On acoustic, I usually keep it in standard, but I occasionally Drop D or tune to D A D G A D, the tuning for Kashmir.
