What tuning do you all use?

My main tuning is drop A on two of my 7's & i alternate between drop G & drop F on my 7321.

I tend to use standard on most of my guitars, but my current setup is:

Ibanez RG1527GK: BEADGBE
Gibson Les Paul Studio: DGCFAD (and sometimes CGCFAD)

If my Ibanez was hardtailed, I'd use drop A more often, but since it isn't, I almost never use drop-A.

I use a funky tuning.

Double Dropped, tuned down a whole step. This equals -

d
a
f
c
G
C
F

The top 5 strings are standard, but down a tone. The bottom 2 strings are dropped, relative to each other. So it's kinda like having 2 dropped D's, each progressively lower (although, the pitches are of course not D when open, but rather C and F).

Just kidding, though. I thought we had a pretty cool sound with your 7-string FCGCFAD tuning and me with my 6-string EADGBE standard tuning. Nice cool stuff there.

Completely agreed, dude, 'cause it covered such a range. Unisons on E, and octaves/5ths/etc. on everything else. Made it sound real full.
