Double (belated) NGD!!!! Agile T7 and Parker content (56k need not apply)
Sorry for the belatedness of these pics - I needed my camera to do the thread!
Here's the T7: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Upon turning the guitar over, however, I got a very pleasant surprise: ![]() Is that what I think it is...? OH YES IT IS!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A VERY flamey neck!! What an awesome unexpected surprise. Unfortunately, this guitar has to go for sale as I can't afford it right now :^( Also picked up a Parker P40. Now I know they're meant to be one of the 'lower end' models, but honest to god; this guitar is ridiculous. It plays like a dream. The pickups sound great, the piezos are fantastic, the body's comfy as hell, and the neck's amazing. And the setup... dear god. The action is consistently very low all over the neck, and is wonderful to play. Anyway, on with the pics! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not surprised you love the P40... I had a P44 for about a year and was simply blown away by how well it played. BTW, that Agile T7 looks awesome.
![]() Also what camera do you use for your pics? Very clear and the colors are great; blows my camera away.... 10 megapixels my ass

Nice! loving the Texan there, beautiful guitar.
How does that thing hold up for metal? i was thinking about maybe getting one, but I don't think the single coils would really match up to the EMGs on my 8 string. or (better question) what do you use the agile for? do you plan on adding humbuckers? fiill me in, please |

![]() I dunno it seems kind of counter-productive to get a Tele and then throw humbuckers or EMGs in it (not to mention, it would be difficult with the bridge). You can do some cool djenty stuff with single coils actually, since they have that characteristic twang to them it gives them an interesting voice for metal... not always desirable but yeah. It's not going to "match up" in the sense that it's not going to sound the same, but it does have the advantage of sounding quite unique. The guitar break at ~2:40 or so (if I recall correctly) on this track is an example of how single-coils sound with low tuning/high gain... this was with an RG2228 with a BKP Cold Sweat in the bridge. I think this might be the problem. Everyone loves the way they look, but aren't ready to spend that kind of money on a single-coil 7-string. Even though I was one of the people so adamant about not putting in a humbucker and having it be a metal guitar, it probably would have sold more if Kurt had gone that route.
I think people like the looks, but it would only be a "experimental" sort of guitar. Not a guitar to spend $550 on, especially with the economy going down the shitter for most countries. I'm still trying to fight the urge to sell my 7621 and pick one of these up. ![]()

That Texan looks awesome. And Matt is correct, it looks like something I would love to play around with, but I'm not sure I would use it really for anything outside of playing at home. I just don't have money to spend on an experiment at the moment.
And that Parker makes me miss my P-40, I loved that guitar so much, but it took a nasty fall one day.... huge bummer. |

It holds up fine for metal, actually. The bridge pup loses a bit of definition if you pile on loads and loads of distortion, but I agree with the other poster; the single-coil thunk has a lot of djent potential. I'm actually planning on selling it, unfortunately. It cost me a little more than I expected, and I consequently can't really afford to keep it tat the moment. It's a shame as I got REALLY lucky with the neck flame! Quote:
Thankyou very much for the picture compliments ! Actually, the camera is just a cheapo HP thing I got for 40 quid off eBay a few years ago; it's 5mp but has quite a decent, big lens. Most of the photos were taken in very good light, though. When they weren't, the trick I used is to hold a credit card in front of the flash, tilted upwards so that the flash bounces off the wall and is much less harsh on the guitar instead of flashing it head on.Quote:
If I didn't have to sell it, though, I'd probably get a hotter rewind from Bareknuckle; they only charge £32 per pickup! Quote:
![]() I'll pack it nicely ![]() Quote:
Perfect. TH=hey're wonderfully dressed. Honestly, the thing is a dream to play. If Parker can build such a great guitar for their 'lower end' range, I would REALLY like to see what their high end guitars are like! Quote:
. Scour eBay!! Get another one!

another word is Yngwie Malmsteen. He uses a stock stratocaster if I recall which sounds very single coil:
I think a tele would be even twangier. |
