any ideas where to get a black ibanez seven string truss rod cover?

You could ask the guy from Frets on the net. He has white Universe truss rod covers in. Maybe he also does them in black.

i have thought about that, i think a carbon fibre one would be pretty sik. i have some from building r/c chassis with a nice weave pattern i may try. i also have some left over plexiglass from the pickguard im making for my peavey but i want the cover to actually block the view of the rod and unpainted wood in the channel lol.

Carbon fibre would look cool, specially if you made a matching pickguard
