BEHOLD! Pics of my new S7420!
Guys....even as one of the resident gear whores, this guitar actually has me REALLY excited. I may have to keep this one around for a while.

Nice pictures, you can see the black pearl very good. Makes me feel glad that im holding onto mine. I love it, it's a great guitar and so comfortable to play.

^ Yep. It's definately weird getting use to that super skinny neck though. It's been years since I've owned an Ibanez for any length of time. I use to play nothing but RG7 and UVs.
I definately wanna switch the pups down the road though. Not that they are horrible or anything, but I have a different tone in mind. I know I wanna go with an Air Norton 7 for the neck because of the rave reviews they get. I'm a little torn on the bridge pup though. I dug the Blazes in my UVs & Agile, but I think I wanna go with something hotter. What do you think would much up nicely with an Air Norton? I want something where harmonics & tapped notes basically jump through the speakers (and past the noise gate for that matter), but it has to have a solid low end & a nice spike in the mids as I tend to like brighter guitars. X2N-7, perhaps? This guitar's existing tone is definately dark, but oh so comfortable to play. ![]() Thoughts anyone? |

Maybe you could do what Vince did to his.
I thought about replacing my pickups in mine but I decided to leave it because I like the way it sounds as is but maybe in the future I might. ![]() |

That looks awesome man, must play like a dream. Are they actually REALLY thin, or is it just that it has an arched top? As far as pickups go, I've never really liked the Air Nortons. They never seemed to be "full" enough for me. But, who knows, try it. ![]() ![]() |
