![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey guys, thanks for all the responses. 1) Personally I don't mind the pickup colors, and I've always heard bad things about Evos. I may switch them, put the Blaze neck in the bridge (!) and the Evo in the neck. I love the Blaze Neck in bridge in the S7420FM. Awesome with the Triaxis too. But yes, there's alwas bobbin toppers. I may try a Blaze Custom in there, as I already have a bunch of Blaze guitars. 2) I have a K7, UV777BK, S7420FM and now a 2027X. Just sold my UV7BK but I still have it for the moment. 3) I'll look into that piezo mod, but for now I won't really be using the peizos much. In my current band we mostly play on lead modes (I love all 3 of the L2 channels on the Triaxis). 4) Do any of you know what these things fetch on ebay or wherever? I didn't buy this to resell (I actually may sell it to my co-guitarist, this is his dream guitar), but it's good to know ![]() |

Hideous pickup colors. ![]() Since you like the K7 so much, Nick I'm betting you'll like the 2027. For me, the piezo is essential, since my band's music uses alot of acoustic elements. But the basic sound and playability of the guitar is fantastic. I'd love to get another one for a backup, to be honest. Nice score, you whore you. ![]() |

The Evo7 probably isn't the greatest for metal rhythm, but I really dug it for leads in mahogany, and with your army of Ibanez 7's, I think you can afford a lead-only mahogany axe... Give it a shot before you switch it, the tonewood warms it up nicely. And, I'm kinda with you, those pickups are hideous, but in a way that grows on you. ![]() "...and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon." |
