Uli's pickup system is AMAZING. I saw him live and was very fortunate to get to converse with him about it after the performance. If anything, that pickup is worth the price of the guitar alone. I have never before seen a volume knob do sooo much!

(I doubt ANYONE can tell how big an inspiration Uli is on me???)

I dont got any space to host, but indeed, do check out the Metamorphosis Of the Four Seasons by him. its frickin awesome.

Uli has been doing a mix of classical/shred since the early 80s. Most of his albums are primarily classical music with additional modern instruments and then a couple of his own pieces that show him off, or bluesy/classic rock/shred style stuff. Awesome sound though. Most people know him from his time with the Scorpions in the 70s. He also got some recognition with his VERY EARLY rock albums. His brother Zeno Roth does his own CDs too. Awesome melodic rock ala Bon Jovi style but edgier.

I would love to own that guitar just for what it is. It wouldnt suit my needs though. Besides, i wouldnt feel comfortable live playing a guitar that is SOOO blatently someone elses and is not a mass produced standard. (ala Jem...)

I would however love to get my hands on just that pickup system! I bet they are going to be expensive. That pickup is no joke. If they add a real jewel like on Uli's, thats not gonna be cheap either. I think the bridge was custom too.
