Ok I´m thinking about buying this guitar now on monday,
I can't afford any of the other guitars in schecter's line up except the omen 7,

but bottomline, is the damien a good guitar or is it just not worth the 499$ ?

you know, i played one of these the other day at a GuitarCenter. i thought it was a pretty decent guitar for what they were asking, in pretty good condition. where are you thinking of getting it from? if it's in good condition and you can talk them down to $400 or so, with a good setup it'd make a fine guitar

I thinking about getting i new, and we only have one store that sell them in sweden, nad import like ebay and stuff cost more in shippment then the actuall guitar.

Average street price is $399. You could get a guitar shop to go down to at least $350 or more. It depends how good you are at sweet-talkin'.

I'd say just blow the extra 200$ and get the set neck SD Equipped black jack.

my budget is extremly tight, it has taking me 2 years to save up to the damien, so another 200 dollar will take another year and I want a guitar now

I played a regular 6 string Damien at guitar center last month and it sounded sick and played really well considering it was at guitar center. I say go for it, if I were to buy another 7 at the moment I'd probably either get that or the Ibanez 7321

The pickups in the Damien are fairly terrible. You'd be better off using $400 to get a nicer guitar on eBay IMO. Or get an RG7321 + a replacement bridge pickup and that would probably be better too.

like the others said with the damien your paying $400 or so for a bolt on neck guitar with a bass wood body for $200 more you can get a setneck mahogany body with reall pups either duncans or emgs with the blackjakc or hellraiser. My suggestion if your going spend the money spend it once

Figure out a way you can make some extra money you have $400 saved right?? Try and use that money to make some more money.
