Why doesn't Warmoth offer necks that are of a decent scale? 25 is too short, 28.5 is way too long.

The problem comes with having that short scale with a 7. It just doesn't reproduce the low fundamentals really well. Sure, it would work, it just is not really the best scale length for a 7. ![]() |

If their necks were 25.5" to 26.5", I'd own 6 by now. ok, maybe not 6, but you get the idea.
![]() What is odd is that all of their guitar necks for 6's are 25.5 (with the exception of the baritone and short-scale stuff). Why they chose 25" for their standard 7 is just perplexing. |

Put a capo on the second fret of a 28 5/8" scale neck and you've got a 25.5" scale guitar.
With the fret markers in the wrong places. ![]() I wish i knew why they tooled up for making 7-string necks ONLY in the 25" scale. |

The official reason they haven't introduced a 25.5" is, get this, they sell so few 25" and 28.5" seven string necks that they don't think it'd be cost-effective to introduce another scale option. ![]()
