What is odd is that all of their guitar necks for 6's are 25.5 (with the exception of the baritone and short-scale stuff). Why they chose 25" for their standard 7 is just perplexing.
True. Although I'd probably be pleased to take one of the long scale ones of their hands if they made a freakin' lefty

I thought i read the reason for 25" on their 7's was because it made it slightly easier to play, you know because the neck is wider than a 6.

I guess the person who made that decision had never actually played a seven-string for any appreciable length of time.

This is actually a Warmoth 7 neck mated to a Swamp Ash UV body. Its plays and sounds great but I do not think I would like the sound if it was anything other than Swamp Ash for note clarity.

that finish is really killer, did you do that, or did someone do it for you?

Bought it off ebay a few weeks back. The original guy that put it together put some texture in the paint to make it look quasi-stonish then he sent it out for a very light clearcoat to protect it from flaking. Its a great guitar but not very versatile because of the single humbucker configuration. Im assuming he lost the neck position route when trying to compensate for the 25 neck scale to 25.5 body route. (It was filled, then painted over)

That's a sweet looking guitar. The zebra tuning pegs are a nice touch.

So how is the neck on it? I'm thinking of building a Warmoth 7 and am curious how thick the neck profile is compared to an Ibanez UV.
