Who can do these mods?
I have the opportunity to purchase an RG7 for a dirt cheap price. I have some killer mods in mind & I need to know who I should go to to get this done. HELP!
Here's my ideas... Refinish with Emerald Green Flamed Maple Top on body & headstock Creme binding on Body & headstock (white Ibanez logo) Replace fretboard with Birdseye Maple fretboard w/ no inlays Route pickup cavities for EMG707s Fill in 5-way pup selector & replace with 3-way LP style pup selector And lastly, could someone make up a mockup of this design? My home computer is currently offline & I can't upload that Kisakae (?) program on my work computer. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Here's Pawel's very rough mockup from Jemsite. Thanks, Pawel. ![]() |

a luthier could definitely do that for you, but I cringe to think of the cost.
Flamed maple on the headstock is obviously just a veneer, but a serious maple cap transplant wont be cheap, nevermind the binding. birds eye maple isnt cheap either. You might want to talk to warmoth about this project. |

EKG or LGM come to mind, as a lot of their work is customizinf RG's for people...

I bet Jim Soloway could do it as well, but I don't know if he openly does custom shop work.
