Got my Agile Trans Black today!
Well, now it's my turn to share my experiences with the Interceptor. I must admit that I've never been so scared opening a guitar case, because I didn't knew what the hell could be inside. (remember that rondo doesn't give refunds to overseas bidders even if you receive ta wrong model). And was somthenig like:
I opened the box: (Yoohooo, it's not a broom!) I unpack the guitar and... (lol? I didn't knew that Interceptors came with a side output jack like flying Vs... hey, wait, that is not an output jack... WHERE THE FUCK IS MY TONE POT??? I don't really care, because I'll remove the tone pot. NOTE: A friend photoshopped the pics to look a bit brighter, because the original photos were too dark, because that, in some pics makes a strange efect on the top, like if it weren't flamed, but it's because fingerprints screwed the photoshopping a bit (thanks to my sister for his "metal as fuck" bed )...OK, let's go! NECK/HEADSTOCK: ![]() ![]() The headstock is damn cool, and the tuners work great, guitar tuned perfectly in seconds.. Neck is actually a 3-piece neck, and one of them has a strange feel, but nothing important. Is a bit thicker than my Dillion too; on the other side, the neck joint is somooth and the freatboard is more black than gorilla's balls and looks mega-cool.The 27" scale is a bit strange for me, but not uncomfortable anyways, de string action is a little high, but I'll fix that later. BODY: ![]() ![]() ![]() The body shape is sexy as fuck, I always dreamed with an RGA shape, and the top is really cool too, but very thin. It's more for looking good than for the maple sound. But I find a copule of huge complaints. ![]() 1 - With thre tremolo bar on it, the pot access is horrible, and the hardware itself is kinda crappy (volume pot has very low range, and I hit the volume know while playing very often, so I could end with no sound and screw up a solo 2 - As I said before, it misses the tone pot! And because of that, I guess that I'm in "coil-tap mode" forever until I fix that. 3 - Even cavity routing for the electronics is grea (to me, because it's very spacious and I'm planning of putting a gainb ooster there) but the cavity routing on the bridge is damn poor, it seems that Kurt saw someone complaints about bridge springs rubbing with the cavity, and did this: ![]() That sucks BRIDGE: I can't say too much about the bridge, it looks cheap and weak, but it holds the tuning very well for now. I haven't abused it too anyways. SOUND: ![]() Here's the big point, what a HUGE SOUND! Sonds damn tight and agressive, amazing for rythms with anwesome clarity. The problem is that I can't really say anything because the tonepot issue, I don't know if I'm coil tapped or what. The clean sounds of the neck pickup are great anyway, very jazzy ^^ IS WORTH IT?: ![]() ![]() I must admit that I spected more attention to details (the sanding under the tremolo springs is horrible), and a better quality control (a friend ordered another and it came with a crack on the fretboard, I hope that it won't enlarge because climatic but for 400$ it really kicks any other guitar in his range. I give it a 8 ![]() |

Won't make you feel any better BUT stuff like this happens from time to time if you were in the states or somewhere that they do accept returns you could get another to replace that one.At least its structure is solid.

man, I'm so glad my guitar got here in perfect condition, I have absolutely no complaints at all with mine (cept the trem routing where the springs rub but I'm gonna tremol-no its ass anyways). And yeah, lack or international returns is both gay and understandable but you agree to those terms when you make the payment.
Jetzt liegst du hier, ganz regungslos, in meiner hand und meinem schoß, du bist so kalt...

for a $400 brand new 7 string, that's not too bad. put some work into it, and i'm sure you'll have something you'll love.
I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |

Pretty much my reaction with the Septor, though I wasn't willing to fix the problems. Great guitar, but I was in a shitty mood that week and that didn't help, so I sent it back.

Hey, I liked the guitar, sounds amazing! and the baritone scale is something different for me but feels great.
For the pots problem... What do you think about removing the tonepot and install a gain booster and use a push-pull volume knob for coil tap? |

I'm not a fan of coiltapping etc basically cause I just need the volume knob.
But I'd say it would be a great idea, but not too sure how you'd do it. |
