Mark 7 is a jewel in the rough
Ibanez RG7 PB1 VV

I can't believe a guitar like this is two feet in front of me. A NOS (would be) DEAD MINT Ibanez RG7 PB1 VV A.K.A. RG7 CST. Came to my door about an hour ago and can I just say holy fucking crap. Came in a gig bag and wrapped well, had the plastic piezo for dummies instructional plastic on it, all original paperwork (other than hang tag - that would have been cool) and tools & strap locks. Completely untouched, no pick swirls at all, except... I took it out of the gig bag and it was in the scratchless poly bag they come in when boxed from Hoshino. I took it out and almost passed out at the condition. Looking it over though, I noticed the bottom strap pin was slightly loose and when I screwed it in I saw that about 1/2" of the clear was chipped off around it - DAMN! I looked in the bottom of the poly bag and there were the clear chips! I originally thought it happened during shipping but looking at the box and that there was plenty of bubble wrap at the bottom I'm almost positive it's a factory blem or a store blem and that's why it never sold and sat around for the last 7 years. I actually feel better about that as it was killing me that other than a shipping problem it would have been completely mint. Then I thought "what the fuck am I complaining about?!" It lends itself to the player I want it to be anyhow and now I won't feel so bad about playing it. I can't believe the guitars I've come across this past month or so and this one tops them all. I'll probably get hit by a dump truck tomorrow. It also crosses the 6 to 7 boundary - I now have more 7's than 6's for the first time ever and I'm thinking of going all seven.

Question for anyone - could I super glue those chips back on? Or at least other wise protect any further chipping? Any suggestions?

I deem playing it true *flexes at the chip

Hell yeah, that thing looks AWESOME! I want one

Sucks about the chip, but it can be fixed. You could try glueing them on or touching it up with nailpolish.

Damn dude, that's a nice flame. And aside from the endpin, it's in absolutely flawless shape... Nice score.
