funky fitted neck?

Can any other 107xl users confirm if their neck are set this way?
Tha space betwen the binding and the surface of the guitar body is bothering me..... maybe i´m being silly.... but is it supposed to be some space there?

I´m having some problems with string buzzing on this guitar.... and also the floyd won´t return to "zero" postion after whamming upp with it.... it goes out of tune quite alot actually!
i would really apprciate (spelling blhu) some help here!
Oh guitartechs are not an option.... they are pretty rare in sweden....

Space between the binding and the body? That's fine, and the slight angle looks about right, too.

The whammy bar... Well, let's assume your strings are properly stretched. Are your trem posts locked? Is the contact zone between the posts and the knife-edges lubricated? Those would be my two first checks... Also, how far off are you going when you release?

String buzz is a little trickier - where exactly are you buzzing? The www.jemsite.com tech section is a great place to start, if you want to do a step-by-step check to figure out what's off.

Welcome, by the way.

What is it you're asking about the neck fitting? Do you suspect that your neck isn't mounted entirely "square" in the neck pocket, so one side is deeper than the other? Without a frame of reference (a ruler, for example), it's hard to determine exactly how far out the neck might be.

Looks great. I love that white binding. Nice guitar.

By the way, out of all my 7s, the latest I had acquired recently, my 7620 GN, something is off or at least it seems to me, could be why I got it so dirt cheap, the strings on the treble side are almost off the fretboard as the strings on the bass side are on the fretboard too much, I going to play around with it to see what it is, I called Rich about it and he said it was an easy fix, just to shim it.

Yeah there is a slight angle isn´t there? so i´m not crazy!
"about right"? So it´s not supposed to be totaly straight with the body then?

strings are stretched and the posts are locked!
I did not know that you were supposed toi lubricate the edges! What kind of lube would you recomend? And do i just put it... on them? how much?

I don´t understand what you´re asking for here:
"Also, how far off are you going when you release?"

sorry for my spelling.... i seem to have totally forgotten how to spell in English!

thanks for the warm welcome

Hey man, I'll tell you exactly what I think Sephiroth told me. I had the same problem with my Interceptor, and he fixed me right up. Check this out:

Nope. I actually have my Universe's neck shimmed to an even sharper angle than that, actually.

What I meant was "How far out of tune does your guitar go when you pull it back?"

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be like that. My 7321 is the same way.
