can you guys help me?
i just recieved my schecter hellraiser c-7 from musiciansfriend (i know i shouldnt have) but it does not look like the original hellraiser and it had a pic of the old hellraiser on musiciansfriend.com website.......
the one i recieved has the pickups number in red (red: 81 for example and red 85) and its has instead of the dark blackish looking abalone binding around the body and head stock it has a white abalone binding around the body and head stock..... plus the rosewood is freakishly light in color.... is this the new model? what can i do to get the older one? |

First of all, the red EMGs are still the correct pickups... they're just the coil-tappable versions. Big upgrade IMO, especially the neck.
As for the binding, well, it hasn't changed, really. It just looks dramatically different in person than in some pictures. As for the rosewood... well, you probably got a bad or dry piece and could use some dye or lemon oil on it to darken it right up. |

Those Hellraisers are some of the nicer guitars at Guitar Center, that's for sure. I like the neck finish better than my Loomis, and the mahoghany feels lighter than ash, too; somehow makes it feel more playable. Ballsy guitar, wish I had the money to get one.
