hey guys..
this is my 1st post..

don't own any 7 strings yet...but looking at this epiphone les paul 7 strings
at the price of 349.00 USD( like les pauls :P )

u guys think it's a ok deal?
it seems to be a limited edition, so does anyone with this guitar have a hard time finding spare parts?

really looking forward to own a 7 string

Good luck finding one. They were only in production for 2 years or so. I was interested in getting one for awhile, but I read alot of reviews complaing about how uncomfortable the neck is.

If you want an american seven though, look into schecter and esp.

thanks for the reply Mastodon
i actually found one in a old store around town...i tested it...

i never tested other 7 string ..but that neck seems to be fine to me...
many complain about the pickups...it does sound a bit muddy...i guess most epiphones hdoesn't has good pickups on them...

see some on ebay selling for 500+USD . A they a bit over price or what?

You could always simply change out the pickups. But you may want to look at the Shecter Omen 7 which is right at your price range.

How about a Damien 7? or a agile or used ibanez or a ibanez 7321?

I've got a friend who plays one. Go into any Guitar Center and pick up an Epiphone Les Paul standard, and that is what you're getting--same feel, same sound, same fit and finish, but one more string. For me, that is a bad thing, because I'm just not too keen on Les Pauls. The neck is like a baseball bat, and it is too muddy on that low B, but the massive crunch and thick lead tones are all there. A pickup change would do some real good for it, since the stock ones suck. A Seymour Duncan Custom sounds stupid evil in the bridge position of these things.

For some odd reason, this has become my buddy's main guitar. He owns an UV777.

If you do get it your gonna wanna swap out those stock pups. I hear there pretty bad. I see them every once in a while on the bay.

However, this one is at a good price (for now) and has a couple of Blazes in it already, along with coil taps.
