Who'd be interested in that b;ack 1077xl?

OK, I am not going to post a price, but after last night jamming on it, well, it's not me, and I just have to accept that old UV's are where it's at for me (and the 2027) as it just wasn't really doing it. So seeing as noone is buying **** all at the moment (market is dead) I just want to gouge (spelling pun intended) in this. It's the only black 1077 i've ever seen, apart from 2 minor chips (really small) is dead mint, negligable wear on the bridge etc etc.

It's also got crazy wiring (about 14 pup combinations with phasing and coil tapping) and has bareknuckles in it, with the middle single coil rewound by tim at BKP.

Now, I can sell with the BKP's, but that would mean they'd be included in the price, or no pickups at all (maybe the middle single coil, as no point putting that in another axe and it's a hassle to find decent single coils).

Anyway, i could put dimarzios in, but usually people just replace them anyway, so what are peoples thoughts, with pickups, or without?

I am going to reiterate at this point that it isn't for sale at the moment, just seeing, as it normally takes me a while to properly decide.

However, if someone has a particularly nice ibby to trade

I'd have though a load of guys woulda jumped on this but i see you're in the UK which kinda cuts the numbers down.

Also does anybody know how exactly it became black? I've never seen another black one either so im wondering if it was ever refinished at some point perhaps or if its just a prototype for different colours?

Yeah, it's the one metal ken had, and as to the reason it's black, my guess it's an endorsee respray via custom shop, or just an endorsee had a body built for the neck and they put it together like that.

Yes, was MK's, then Soma's, then mine, and now James. If I hadnt jumped the fence from Ibanez to ESP I'd be crying to have it back.

Yep, there is literally nothing wrong with this guitar, it plays great, sounds very cool (with the bkp's aye!) and is pretty much either one of a kind or a very very limited run.

It's just that it's not doing much for me, but if there's little interest, I don't need to put it up for sale.

I was mulling it over today.

I've already got one and to be honest while its nice i dont need yet another black ibanez so i'm gonna rule myself out 100%.
