NewArmyGuitar is a jewel in the rough
Thinking about increasing string gauge

I've been using Ernie Ball .10-.56 on my 7620/7621 and drop tuning to A. Lately I've been thinking about increasing the gauge up to about a .60 to tighten the sound up a little. Does that sound about right? Should I expect to have to make many adjustments?

That sounds perfect. No adjustment needed.

nyck is just really nicenyck is just really nice
I'd think a 56 is a little too loose. I recommend a 64 or so, for tightness in tone and feel. That's an Ernie Ball string though, I'm sure other brands feel different in tension.

.056" to .060" for the low a is a good idea. You may need a minor intonation adjustment on the fixed bridge, but it should be fine without it, actually. The trem might need the adjustment a little more, plus you may need to tighten the springs a tiny bit to keep the angle of the bridge right. At least, that's what I had to do when changing gauges.
