Fixed VS. Trem... what is more comfortable?
I am wondering what you all think is more comfortable for your picking hand?.. A fixed bridge guitar or a trem equipped guitar.
I personally have found that fixed bridge guitars are more comfortable for picking that floyds... Any ideas? (btw, if someone could make this a poll, that would be quite cool!.. and thanks for moving this. I was not sure where it belonged. )

I chose fixed, but I could go either way. The thing I hate about trems is all the issues you have when changing/breaking strings and stuff like that. But a fixed bridge just barely edges out in front comfort wise for me.

gotta vote trem, but I've only owned one guitar with a fixed bridge in 18 years of playin!...and I didn't play it that much, so I sold it (LTD EC-1000).
However, I've got big GAS for that black cherry Hellraiser |

Five years ago, my answer would have been trem, but...
Both my 7s have fixed bridges. In fact, I've never OWNED a 7 that didn't have a fixed bridge... |

it depends on the tremelo... if its an OFR or an origional Edge, then fixed bridge easily... but i find my Lo Pro Edge 7 on my universe to be much more comfortable than the origional edge, and even more comfortable than tune-o-matic(the saddles on tune-o-matics can sometimes feel funny on your hand...)

It also depends on the fixed bridge, too. There are SO many variables that I almost created an expanded poll with several options... but I couldn't think which to leave out, lol.

That's true. When I hear "fixed bridge," I think of the bridge on, say, and Ibanez RG 7321. To me that's a very comfortable bridge. If you mean fixed as in tune-0-matic, then that's a bit uncomfortable for me. |

I just don't like feeling the saddles digging into my hand, and I swear that TOM's have seriously sharpened saddles.
