Lol, DSS3, I think you're ending up like me. Got the Hellraiser C7, and now you're hooked on 7's? I want either an RG2027X (7 with piezos), a Universe UV777BK, or a custom 8 string from LGM...can't decide if I really wanto jump to an 8 or get another 7 first.

I was reading a review for the UV a while ago and someone wrote that the guitar price is 2-300 more than it should be because it is a steve vai signature.

Would you guys agree?

i wondered the same thing. especially considering people directly comparing to the 7620 as a better bang for the buck

Well, the 7620 doesn't have the bells and whistles though. No binding like on the UV. No mirror pickgaurd. Not the same pickups. I mean...really if you just want a "nice" 7, the 7620 certainly is a great guitar. But if you stand it up next to a UV on a stage...the UV is nicer. I think so anyway.

Didn't the UV and the 7620 both have Blazes

In any case, I am personally not too fond of pick-guards or binding, though I'd still love to own a UV.
