From what I've heard, the more expensive ones are the ones that are really worth it. (i.e. alder body, ebony board, etc).

The other guitarist in my old band had that exact guitar on the top (black one) except 6-strings instead of 7. I was surprised it played as well as it did at that price.

The other guitarist in my band has the Jackson Stars COW. Amazing guitar. Sounds and plays amazingly.
