every guitar you listed is available in stores AFAIK so if a store carries ibanez and schecter, have at 'er.

tip: dont settle. if you have to wait longer to get what you really want, wait - instead of getting the "this will do for now" and kicking yourself about it.

granted, if you dont like it dont buy it.

C-7FR Has actives in it right? how often do you gotta replace the batteries?

dont leave it plugged in (like your pedals) and you should be able to get at least a year out of it.

and btw, you stated you want versatility in your original post: that's more determined by the amp then the guitar. with actives or passives, you should be able to get a lot of nice tones if your amp is capable of them.

if you want "all the high quality features" eliminated D and E. licensed floyds and emg hz pups BLEH

I was in a very similar situation as you, i ended up going with a loomis 7 FR because of all the great features you get with it

You get decent pups (emg 707's)
A kickass trem system (OFR 7)

and most of all it plays extremely well for me.

Also i didnt go for the Ibby's because i would have to change the pups.
