![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Schecter / ESP people : Give me Advice OK, I have been put in charge of finding someone a birthday present of a 7 string, and will be working on a budget. So, I am looking at all options, and as I may have to buy blind across 't internet (as second hand is a possibility I am looking at) schecter and ESP is a possibility as from what I keep reading they are consistently good guitars, available at reasonable prices and can be found in europe. Jackson are out, the cheap 7's I've played by them have been rubbish, as in they felt really cheap. This is 5-6 years ago, but still, they all left dirty tastes, and I won't be able to stretch the cash to the more expensive ones which I am sure are worth it. So, requirements: Fixed bridge. Floyd rose is a possibility, but he's never used one, so it's questionable as to whether he'd enjoy the joys of the floyd. 7 strings ![]() Fairly decent pickups, although if within budget and with shite pickups I can replace them if there's enough cash left in the kitty. Preferably with a case And a neck that isn't too thick, preferably thin. Budget: 300-450£ in UK money to include all shipping, handling and everything else. 700-900$ in US money. I am not averse to buying anywhere in the world, but that will have to include the shipping + customs fees that invariably get tacked on. Give me advice, and if you see good deals, let me know! |
