NGD just for a while

Well I saw a good deal on this Carvin and couldn't pass it up. Koa with a walnut neck, gold hardware, floyd, spertzels, ebony without markers, and tung oiled neck. I probably won't end up keeping it because my eyes are messed up and I have trouble seeing the side markers good enough when the light isn't good.. But I wanted to try one for a while to see if I would want to order one.... So far it feels great..

Yeah, unfortunately I've had five eye operations and can't see the side dots too well. If the side dots really stood out then it wouldn't be an issue, but I do get to mess with it for a while and see what I really like, I didn't think I'd like the tung oiled neck but it has a very good feel....SCHWING

I feel your pain man, my right eye is all fucked up, I've never used fret markers though.

I pretty much only use them when I transition from Chords at the bass end of the neck to leads at the treble end of the neck, it's hard to go from a G chord to the start of a lead on the fourth string 15th fret without being able to see at least side dots....

Perhaps you could use those attachable LED side markers, from fretfx or fretoptix.

.... FretFX ... . Attachable Illuminated LED Fret Markers . . (these are about 70 bucks)

FretOptiX - Fiber Optic Fretboard Position Marker Lighting Accessories (These are 20. I have a set, the fretfx are probably better)
