I'd agree with that. Dunno about too harsh, but as with most long scale or 24+ fretters, it's not usually much of a dynamic change between bridge and neck on 707's, but then they are the same pup. It's not really an unusual thing though. I had a Jackson KE-2 with Seymours in, and the neck pickup in that was pretty much useless. You only really hear a dynamic change between neck and bridge when you have a Les Paul or Fender Strat, owing to the shorter scale length.

Oh no, the 22 frets vs. 24 frets debate again... NOT AGAIN PLEASE!

Anyway, I like more the tone of the "center" position of EMG-707 equipped guitars than the neck. I think I understand why Stef uses that pickup configuration, even if it's fugly and uncomfortable

Nice axe. I've been looking at the C7FRs a lot lately. I wish they'd colormatch the headstock though.
