Cool NGD! Interceptor Pro Black Flame!! (56k = As gay as FedEx)

I bought last week the Interceptor "B-stock" that popped up at Rondo. It was 200$ off, so I couldn't stop my GAS and bought it. So, after some issues with FedEx and the Spanish customs, who stated that they wanted to open and inspect the package, I finally received this:

Uh, oh, this looks bad...

And this even worse... 75€ Custom duties!!

Do you remember this sticker? Arrghh malditos impuestos!!!

Fuck the "sharp opener" thing, better open the box quickly to see if there's any damage to the guitar

DAMN!! Damn you FedEx bastards!!! I hope you all burn in hell !!!

Hopefully, the rest of the guitar will be fine, let's unwrap the baby...

Holy shit...

Niiiiice

The flame top is damn nice

Ebony board goodness:

Reverse headstock goodness:

Backside shot:

Another front one:

And the last:

So after a short testing, here's my impressions...

This thing is really a beauty, I could stay staring at it the whole day, it's really gorgeous. The neck is very nice, thicker than an Ibanez, but not as much as a Schecter (thouch is rounder than both). The ebony board is pretty, and the reverse headstock rules. Shame that they removed the veneer on it though

The sound is brighter than I spected, maybe because I was used to the EMG 707s in mahogany. It sounds great, but I'm gonna put in there some EMG 707-TWs on it or maybe Blackouts, but I'm afraid they can be too bright being a neck-thru maple neck.

The trem is cheap as always but I was going to block it anyway, so who cares. I just feel more comfortable with floyd-style bridges. The guitar overalls plays very nice, but it buzzes a lot so It may need a truss rod adjustement.

I don't think the fretwork and finish is on par with Schecters, but is a really nice guitar for it's price. My only complaints about it is that the painted neck feels stickier than my Hellraiser, a lot more indeed. I suppose I'll get used to that If not, I'll se... no, wait, not this time!

I bought it as a B-stock for 200$ less, and I was scared about the blems and so. But they're so insignificant that I don't give a fuck about them I paid for it 400€ total, counting the shipping, custom duties, conversion rates, and all the jazz. 400€ for such a guitar is a damn steal!

Overall, I'd say that If you're the kinda guy that hates painted necks, maybe this guitar isn't for you, but if not, you're gonna love it!

Saludos!

FedEx FTL!

this is what they did to my Septor 7 27"

as far as the "sticky" painted/ gloss neck, a good cleaning and polishing usually takes care of that problem for me...
