![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Washburn music123 has Washburn WG587s on sale for $199.99. Are they a decent piece of equipment or just a piece? ![]() | Well mine was good, it arrived quickly (though I didnt get to see it for a month cause it was on a different continent) They're good for a $200 guitar, very good infact, the finish on the back of the neck needs a bit of work in places, but nothing that a quick go-over with some fine grade wire wool won't sort. I've read reviews saying that Pickups are reasonable as well, but they just arent doing what i want so i'm replacing them with a pair of EMG 707's. I'd suggest getting the XL gator case with it, it fits it just fine, and survived a trans atlantic flight. (and you get 10% off if you buy them at the same time). Hope this helps |

![]() | My friend Ryan had one for YEARS. One with an original Floyd Rose trem. He loved that guitar. He sold it to pay for rent one time and has been regretting it ever since. Washburn was originally suppose to charge much more for these guitars, but rumor is that they messed up and qouted them much lower. Not sure about the newer ones, but my friend's was realllllly nice for the price he paid. He paid like $300 something and some change for it, and it was one of those guitars that you mess with and say "they should have charged a lot more for this." My .02 cents. ~006+1 .:Guitars:. i like my washburn better than my rg7620 except for the stupid middle pickup and the funny-looking headstock. it stays in tune a little better, the neck is more stable, trem is more rugged, fretwork is more even, etc. in most ways it's the same as the rg7620, though. good luck! | |
