Main Seven: EBMM JP7 Rig: Pod X3 Thanked: 7
![]() ![]() | May 13 is my birthday! And I got some sweet cash. I have my pick of like, any of the few guitars I GAS after and oh is it hard to resist spending my b-day bucks. Over the past few months as I show my neverending love for my JP7 I have pondered whether my next guitar should be a 6 or a 7, as the JP7 is the only one I own outside of a crappy acoustic that is almost broken for good. I go back and forth, 6 or 7, which is more useful for me and though sometimes I feel like I should have a 6 for practicality and to teach with, the acoustic cuts it for that and o-m-flippin-g I've just found I love 7s so much. Even when I don't need the 7th string, I just love them so much. And I have to admit, part of it is being the only 7 player around and the stigma I receive for it ![]() So basically I've been looking at the 1527, Loomis TOM, RG7420/7620 as 7s I want. So basically the full spectrum. I'd kill for a Greendot over any of them, though. I'm also flirting with the idea of a Carvin DC747. Get some dragonburst on that sucka, you know what I mean. The only 6s that attract me really are the Ibanez PGM, a Gibson (probably Les Paul/SG Standard or an Explorer like my old one) and possible an Ibanez S prestige. Well there was my essay, I just thought I'd share my elation with all of you. So many options to choose from, I must decide what beast I want. If it worked out to be left over cash, I was thinking a POD X3 too. Argh, too much to think about. Oh wells. |

![]() ![]() | I don't get how people always misunderstand, maybe I'm a dumb poster. I already own a JP7, it's my fargin' favorite guitar ever. I'm just considering these possible additions to my 7-string armory. I might add, I'm all over a Carvin, which is an American custom like a JP7, but I don't really feel confident enough in my personal taste in guitars (mostly 7s) to put money into a full-on custom guitar. Make sense? Last edited by WillingWell; 05-12-2008 at 11:17 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If the JP7 is your favorite I would buy another one! If you don't want to drop the cash for a custom then go for your favorite. |

![]() | Happy B-Day!!! Mine's the 20th... I turn 18!!! If I were you I'd go with the Carvin. Way more fun being picky and designing what you buy... |
