DIMARZIOS DO NOT FIT IN CARVIN ROUTES neither do duncans, or much of anything else. If you have to modify the bejeezus out of the pickup to get it to fit, then it doesnt just fit ![]() Really, the amount of routing (when routing the body, like you ought to do anyways lol) to fit duncans and dimarzios is the same. literally, its an extra square centimeter off of each ear. Now, blackouts are the one exception, but its still minor. you have to either A) notch a small groove into the body for the pickup wire to fit under the base of the pickup or B) (i prefer this one because its guitar universal, unlike modifying the pickup for carvin routes only) Make a small groove in the bottom of the pickup for the wire to go under. otherwise, the pickup is just a little too tall to fit right (by approximately the diameter of the wire lol) and hef no hard feelings or anything. just saying, if you have to route the pickup, its not any different than having to route the body. Not a personal attack on you or anything man ![]() Reverse Headstocks or Bust Dude...i just got a spam email that was titled "Funky date rape trick" -Zepp88 I just got another funny email "Her pussy smiled at me" -Zepp88 Don't tell me you haven't heard of Raptor Jesus It's important that you know this information :headnod: It will decide your fate when we are pwned. -JoeOvChaosI was going KAT KAT KAT KAT and you were going KAT... chk... KAT... chk-die. -TomAwesome

um, i'd much rather modify a pickup than remove wood from a guitar. having said that, i'm opening up the routes in my Carvin 727 right now for Bare Knuckles .should have done it years ago... no more pickups not fitting for me! ![]() www.myspace.com/eddrozdowsky www.seasonofmourning.com www.insatanity.com www.myspace.com/insatanity http://www.vadercabinets.com/id3.html Last edited by Edroz; 05-12-2008 at 06:18 PM. so losing resale value on a guitar is more appealing to you? ![]() in my case though, Carvin's resale value is abysmal as is, so i wasn't worried . plus it's a guitar i'll NEVER sell.
