I noticed that there's very big discrepancies in his final prices on quotes. Anyone have any idea why?

when i saw the neck joint and body cut i practically drooled everywhere.

i'm thinking about actually using the round cutaway from the Grossman Fly 7 neck joint & RGT cut that goes to the lower horn, absolutely gorgeous and looks comfy.

blackout is a jewel in the rough
sounds like an amazing axe, one i'd love to own. And ran make outstanding guitars, they will most definately be my first port of call when I have the cash for a custom. Never heard anything but great reviews and i've been following their work for a few years.

Hope I don't sound like a total newb here, in your extras you said you wanted the pickup wired direct to the output jack. How would it normally be wired and what difference does it make?

If you're looking for other custom builders I highly suggest you to check out these:
Amfisound

Superb quality and should cost about the same amount as the RAN.
And NO I do NOT work for the company
mm

doesn't really change the sound much at all, it just takes the controls off the body so there is less routing in the back and no routes to the top of the guitar for controls either, just a nice sleek sexy look. the volume will be controlled via volume pedal, and if i'm not near the pedal during a live situation the ISP Decimator Pro Rack G i'm getting will be fine enough for keeping it nice and quite when not playing.
