Help with a decision

Schecter Hellraiser C-7 vs. ESP LTD SC-607B

I play a 5 string bass, and am looking into getting an extended range guitar. I will probably tune everything down, because that's how I am (but not definitely).

Any owners have opinions of either of these, or suggestions for something else that works. I'm not set on 7 strings, but would like the longer scale.

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Both of the guitars have a longer scale, the SC607B is a bit longer (.5") but both guitars are erally nice instruments. I'd opt for the Schecter cause of the pickup placement, and the fact that you can get an ATX Blackjack (Which i suggest in place of the hellraiser, unless you NEED the Black Cherry finish). The ATX blackjack is almost the same guitar as the HR, except it comes with blackouts, has an ebony board and a maple neck. (as opposed to EMGs, Rosewood & Mahogany neck).

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Are the blackouts better? I'm not that familiar with them.
