RG7 Template

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody has a template of an RG7-string body through the ent or anything like that. The closest thing I've found is a Jem, and the measurements aren't that great, and it's too small in the picture to try to template it. I'm gonna be making it out of mahogany, and it's ready to be templated on, I just can't find a template
Anybody have anything of the sort that I could use for a template?
I plan on making it into a baritone, is there anything I should know about the body size for a baritone, or is it the same shape and everything? Thanks!

your best bet is to trace or get a tracing of an actual body. pictures can be almost impossible to get exact outlines from because of the 3D perspective in any picture. if the camera isn't over the exact center of the body, the outline will be off because of that skewed perspective.

there are various tiny companies online that sell templates for 6-strings, but be very wary of them. they are all violating copyright on the original designs, so they all tend to be small companies operated out of some guy's garage. their service is often crap, and their templates often have serious errors. don't ask how i know.

it should be the same shape/size/neck pocket location. but you might want to wait to route for the bridge until after you have your neck in-hand and can calculate exactly where the bridge should go with that scale length.

you also might consider making a scratch body to fit your neck so you can test exactly where the bridge should be mounted to make it intonate right. when i had my own 7-string Tele bridges custom made, i had no clue exactly how far from the nut to mount them, so i made this scratch body. it was a huge help in figuring out exactly where to mount the bridge before i drilled into my body. and for a 2x6, it sounded pretty decent.

Each guitarist has an evil fat 40 year old blueswankler trying to get out, If you give in to temptation you'll be sitting next to a fender playing john lee hooker while trying to keep your combover in place. - Desecrated

Thanks guys, I've seen those CNC templates, but I'm looking for something a bit different. I have access to a big printer, so even if I could get a life-sized blueprint file, I could print it off fine, no problem.
