Dude, i beat mine to hell and it comes back in tune perfectly. Ok, it's not as tight and solid feelin' as a OFR, but still, if the guy wants a cheap 7, that will do the trick unless he plans to spin the guitar holding the tremolo bar a la Vai.

If you're willing to sacrifice the Floyd Rose, the Dean Vendetta 1.7 is actually an impressively solid guitar for the money, and I've seen them go for $100-250 used and new.

It really is an oddity, though; a cheap and mostly quality Dean. My EVO7 is a great guitar, but I would never have bought it new at the street price as that would have gotten me a Hellraiser or most of the way to a Loomis.
