Celiak is a jewel in the rough
Awesome story, it warms my heart.

Also that strap looks like it came straight out of Tron.

That's exactly what I thought when Tom sent me a picture of it. With the Les Paul-style controls, it really is the perfect guitar for a dual 707TW setup. And I think it's going to stick around my house for awhile, since my little collection currently lacks any 7-string single-coil options.

We've now had four people take photos of it (Rob from KXK, TMM, Noodles, me), and no one can get a good shot of it, including with Noodles' kickass camera and photo skills. It probably needs to be professionally lit in order to be captured adequately. It's a lot like Jackson's 'Eeerie Dess' finish, which is designed to come alive under stage lights and doesn't look very bold in regular lighting conditions (or even outdoors).

Yeah, the finish is exactly what I requested. I wanted it to be understated, and only noticeable in certain light, and Rob hit it right on the nose.

I can get a better pic of the finish than this, though. I'll try to post it tonight. Yes, it is all about 1) lighting 2) not using a flash on the camera 3) keeping the Tron strap out of the picture

BTW, I love the Tron strap! They're kind of hard to find, though, and the other similar Planet Waves straps don't adjust high enough for a chest rocker like me.

I know! I've tried finding another one, but haven't been able to. Maybe it'll pop up on eBay sometime.
