Making the jump... I need some advice.

Since my band are planning to start writing material that uses a 7 string instrument, I feel it's probably appropriate to acquire one and a decent one at that.

Since England's guitar shops don't seem to be awash with 7's, I thought asking around these parts for a little advice would be the best bet.

I'm a fan of soloist shape guitars, preferably a set neck/neck through with a nice lacqured finish and a fixed bridge (No floyd antics here!). I've been looking at ESP/LTD 7's (namely the Viper 407) and some Schecters. I'd like to avoid Ibanez as their 6's really do nothing for me, despite the two 7's i've tried so far being an RG1527 and I forget the other. Basicially, i'm just wondering if there are any guitars that meet my criteria that i'm missing and are worth considering.

Main issues being that ebay UK doesn't have many non Ibanez 7's on there, and the Schecter UK dealer has just gone bankrupt as far as I know!

So yeah, shoot me your ideas if you please.

Schecter C7 Hellraiser Black at Sound Control
Schecter C-7 BLACKJACK at Sound Control

I hope these guys haven't gone bust, they're not the cheapest, but the only other option for schecter in the UK is to order in from mainland Europe. they also have the cheaper Omen 7, but from what i can tell they don't stock the fixed bridge loomis.

If you dont need a trem, these are the best choices in the pricerange.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

Yeah, they have. Music Thing: Turnkey / Sound Control goes bust It's all over the net. So that limits any Schecter buying to Thomann I believe.

Anyone know of any other UK places barring Sound Control that I could go and try some out?
