A large box appeared at my door...(maybe 56K, don't take my word for it)
So I found this gigantic box outside my house earlier this afternoon:
![]() ![]() I gleefully ripped it open to find this: ![]() I don't think the poodle even knows what it is ![]() ![]() This is a familiar shape... ![]() OMG its a guitar! I must free it! ![]() These should work ![]() Oh yea, I won this on Ebay over a week ago. Reverse headstock= ![]() ![]() Crappy close up ![]() Outside with flash (blue!) ![]() Body shot ![]() RG7420 neck on left (not that most accurate comparison pic, but its close) ![]() The sevens ![]() Time for surgery! ![]() I couldn't be arsed to take any more pics after I set it up. I put in A standard with a 10-46+60 set and I would have to say this tuning kicks ass, but its a bit loose on the top 6 so I might try a 10-52 next time. So far I like it about as much as the RG. I bought it on impulse because I wanted to try a thicker neck to see if it would be more comfortable, and surprisingly (tiny hands) it is. If it had jumbo frets I would take it over the RG in a heartbeat. My only other complaint is the trem bar doesn't seem to screw in all the way and i had to modify the holder with some parts off a 6 string TRS (yes I fix shit with shit). I dunno which one I'm going to keep though. I can sell this one for a small profit (or at least what I payed for it) because its in ridiculously good condition, and I could probably sell the RG for what I payed for it, but I like them both and can't make a decision . The RG is my favorite guitar with the exception of the skinny as hell neck and this seems just as good minus the tiny frets. I also don't see the point in keeping 2 basswood midrange seven strings with trems.oh and duncan designed pups blow more than the stock ibby ones ![]() |

Personally I'd sell the Ibby and keep the LTD.
That looks like our poodle ![]() |

Those old 207's are solid guitars man. Great for modding. Nice work.
