I've only ever got three different reactions from people:

The first I got was from younger lads in my old school who usually went "ZOMG what the hell is that thing?!?". But that doesn't really happen any more.

The other was from my mate LORD GAIBON (Castelvania much? ) who plays thrash and black metal. That was like "Meh, I don't really need one now. I might get one in the future but it's doubtable..."

The last one I got was when I was getting musicians together for the band I'm about to start and at my first jam with the other guitarist he has a go at my RG1527 and says "Dude... how much do you want for this? It's amazing..." Happy Ruarc! He's saving for an Ibby 7 right now.

I still see all the ebay auctions where they say, "Great for people who want to play music like Korn or Limp Bizkit!"

That always makes me angry for some reason.

A lot of people (guitarists in particular) are afraid of new or different things. They're called luddites or xenophobes. Your choice!

I went to the guitar store this past week. I've never seen so many 7-strings guitars before in a guitar place. There was :

- a Xiphos
- a Universe
- a K-7
- a AX7221
- a LTD SC
- a Schecter Blackjack
- a Schecter Hellraiser
- a Jackson C.O.W camo
- a Jackson C.O.W. black

I guess it means something. More people are getting the extended range bug. More people are seeing the light.

Become one of us or die, fuckers. / Rick - RHLC V-P.
