Next, put some white faux binding on it!

The bridge thing is exactly what i thought dendro ought to have done when he added the piezos.

Yeah! I like the look of the RG2610 Prestige, and pinstripe-tape on the body will make your 7321 look more like it, do it!

Of course I thought of doing just that, and then some. Problem with that though is your saddle height screws are going to start scratching though the white paint to the black baseplate from making adjustments - which will look like shit eventually. Think ahead.

That is, unless you fork it over for white powdercoat baseplate.

Anyhoo, looking good so far man. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Thanks.

The white binding on the headstock and body is a definite must. I'm just not sure how to go about doing it. I'm friends with a sign maker, and he could easily make some thin white vinyl strips that would stick to the guitar, then I could spray or brush a clear gloss over top of that. I'd like to avoid hand painting as that might not turn out as straight and consistent in thickness. I'd also like to avoid brush marks. Picky, I know.

Yeah, I definitely want to avoid the base plate idea for that exact reason. I know the washers got dug into a little bit from the tuners, but you can't see it unless you take the tuner off of the headstock. I don't think I want to shell out the dough for a powdercoat either. I like the bridge being black. The DiMarzios will accent the body nicely. And of course the binding when that happens.

I'm more than happy to flatter you. Your idea helped me make a $300 guitar become much more than what I paid for it with simple accents. This inexpensive pickup swap will definitely turn it into an amazing 7 and it didn't kill my wallet. The overall cost for the painting was just under $5. The pups will be $150 and the installation free at my own cost of labor and time. Thanks for the idea dude. I love the look of it.

On a side note, this is my favorite 7 neck profile. It's nice and flat where needed, but I don't feel like its TOO thin. It really feels perfect in my hand. By far one of the most comfortable necks I've ever played, 6 or 7 stringer.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I appreciate it. I'll post more pics once the pups are installed. And of course the white binding whenever I get around to that. I'd like some suggestions on what to use as well if you guys can recommend.

Thanks man! I agree. I'm not 100% sold on the body binding, but the headstock binding is a definite. The idea of the body binding is growing quite fond on me...I think the white vinyl with a light clear coat gloss will do the trick best.
