here's what has gotten done so far:
just barely scrapped the edge on the body just to see how hard it would be.... it's going to be a battle ![]() just about done with the headstock ![]() i bought some Formby's paint remover, same stuff from the Projectguitar.com tutorial, and i might give that a try this evening. I'm hoping for some decent results because this body is going to be a pain lol |

so i sanded this front part of the guitar by hand and it took me about an hour to do
![]() so i broke down and bought a nice random orbital palm sander and did this in 30 minutes. ![]() it's coming along alright. i still have a lot of sanding to do to the body and right now i'm trying to figure out the best way to remove the dot inlays because i found a guy on Jemsite.com who is making me up some neon green dots to match my green blaze pickups. the only other thing i did was finish sanding the head stock and strip the shine off the back of the neck because i'm going to tung-oil it. more updates to come!! |

![]() One way to remove the inlays is to insert a screw into the inlay itself, and then pull on the screw.
Such pain, I must help...deepen it

nice! i can't wait to see the finished product.
i'd leave the headstock as is. 1. i really like strat headstocks, and 2. i've yet to see someone reshape a headstock that didn't look like utter shit . but hey! it's your guitar, not mine . |

yeah, i might just keep it because i have a feeling with my (lack of) wood working skills i'll probably end up turning it in to a piece of crap. we'll see though. i'm still waiting to see how the wood grain turns out on the body. i'm thinking about just doing a nice transparent blue like technomancer's KxK with the neon green pickups/inlays/knobs, ebony fretboard (once dyed) and black tuners/trem. |

I understand completely.
Does that ever cause woman issues for you? I always expect women to run away or get freaked out, but its not once caused me an issue. I wonder if i think of things oddly, or if im just lucky... So i seem to have missed it, but what else are you doing to the git besides paint and the neck dye? |
