Are you sure they'll direct fit into your guitar? Or are you planning to route?
Anyway, i'd say block the trem, and invest in another git unless you really love the Stagemaster's feel. ![]() |

Much as I liked my Stagemaster, I'd say there's better guitars to put a real Floyd in. However, I'm sure a replacement TRS7 can be found easily, especially from one of the people who've replaced theirs with ORF's. Maybe a WTB ad for a licensed Floyd 7 would be your best bet?
The Stagemasters are alder bodied. |

cool! i can get into alder. i was just praying it wasn't plywood lol
metalfriend; does that trem arm/post from either of the links posted in this thread look like they could possibly fit where my old arm went? i could buy a trem for someone but for $20 i figured this new arm might not be too bad as opposed to spending more for a trem from someone. |

*ahem* metalfiend
![]() Honstly, I have not idea. I'm not an expert on trem arm fixings at all. My personal thoughts if I happened to me are that I'd either score a good used TRS7 or Schaller Floyd (possibly better than what's in there now), or just block them trem. |

alright, so i've been cruising the net for some 7 string tremolos and not a single Black-OFR has turned up...not that i'm surprised.
so, i found these three: 1) 7-String Floyd Rose Licensed Tremolo, Black - Warmoth.com E- Store 2) Floyd Rose® Licensed 7-String Tremolo - Tremolos by GuitarPartsDepot.com 3) BLACK 7-STRING Floyd Rose Tremolo System NEW (F7) - eBay (item 130142544201 end time May-06-08 19:42:21 PDT) what do you guys think of these three trems? i have to check the string spacing on mine when i get home but assuming they'd fit which would be the best to go with as i've had no luck from my WTB thread in the classifieds. |

Most were made from Alder. Production did swap on two occasions between factories, however, and I know at least two people on the forum have owned these made of different woods from Alder...but I can't for the life of me remember what they ARE made from.

does alder have a decent looking wood grain by itself?
i'm going to totally redo my guitar for fun and i'm debating whether or not i want to try my hand at a swirl finish or if the wood grain is decent enough, go for a transparent color stain. also do you guys think it would be worth it for me to make a slight tuner upgrade for this guitar? the stock ones are pretty awful but seeing how it has a floyd rose that shouldn't matter too much, right? i wouldn't mind upgrading them but do you guys have some suggestions for some that aren't too too expensive...like $60 - $80? |
