 | To fix or not to fix, that is the question[updated progress!] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For updated progress/pictures of the new work head to page 4 and beyond!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- well, i was fixing up my Squier Stagemaster-7 the other day and i dove on the trem arm so i could stuff some objects in the open space to keep the trem elevated while i did some work. some sh*t hit the fan and somehow the arm and the post snapped out of the licensed floyd rose tremolo. so now my floyd rose is basically broken and i suppose i might be able to fix it but it might just snap off again unless i'd weld it and i don't have access to those kind of tools. now: i was thinking about fixing up the guitar as a fun project and go all out and try to get an OFR for it. would it be worth it to spend the money on the tremolo and new tuners or just scrap it? i don't even know where i can find a black OFR-7 anyway, that'll be the hardest thing to locate. and also, does anyone know what kind of wood this is made out of? If it's plywood i'll probably scrap it, but it might be basswood or something, idk. thoughts??? Last edited by turmoil; 06-24-2008 at 02:02 PM. |

| thanks for the help guys!! lordcliffton, yeah, there actually is a big hole where the trem arm/post used to be. could i really just buy that arm/post replacement and be done?? |

| i actually found this one on guitarpartsresoure.com Guitar Parts Resource.::.Floyd Rose Trem Arms & Wrenches it's the same as that ebay auction. i'm just curious if it will fit for a direct replacement. that seems like it's all i need. |
