i'm going to totally redo my guitar for fun and i'm debating whether or not i want to try my hand at a swirl finish or if the wood grain is decent enough, go for a transparent color stain.

also do you guys think it would be worth it for me to make a slight tuner upgrade for this guitar? the stock ones are pretty awful but seeing how it has a floyd rose that shouldn't matter too much, right? i wouldn't mind upgrading them but do you guys have some suggestions for some that aren't too too expensive...like $60 - $80?
Try these:
Grover Mini Rotomatic 205BCL6 Left Guitar Tuner/Machine - eBay (item 130216971969 end time Apr-29-08 15:04:25 PDT)
Pretty decent, and left handed for your reverse headstock

Such pain, I must help...deepen it

whoops, try this:
Gotoh Schaller-style Knob Tuners at Stewart-MacDonald
Order 7 right side black indivdual tuners. They're gotoh's which I find to be much better than grovers.

i'd say so

i highly doubt the Squire will be 1 piece and look like this... but you'll never know until you sand it down. i've seen some Ibby S7420s that had some insanely beautiful mahogany bodies underneath that blah galaxy black paint.

started sanding the headstock. there's a purple sparkle base coat underneath...maybe i'll just sand it down to that and finish that color lol

i'll post some pics once i get some lower grit sandpaper. this 180 grit ain't cuttin it.
